Reservations

Reservations can be made by email or in person, in the dive center. To be able to give you the service you deserve, we strongly recommend that you book our services in advance. For reservations with accommodation and for groups, at least two weeks in advance and for school holidays (July & August) and other public holidays even more. The Christmas and Easter weeks for example, we're normally pretty much booked several months in advance.

To make a reservation you need to pay 50% of the total amount as a deposit in our dive center or into our account, either by sending a check or by credit card. Any service(s) booked for the same day or the next day require the full payment. Packages with accommodation also require full payment upon booking.

For any service(s) or package booked at least two weeks in advance, you are eligible for an early booking bonus.

Cancellations 

Cancellation(s) by the customer:

1.- If the customer cancels a reservation 15 days or more in advance, we will refund the deposit paid, except for a $250 Pesos ($25 USD) administration fee and any costs charged by third parties, if applicable.

2.- If the customer cancels a reservation less than 15 days in advance, we will not refund the deposit paid. We will refund any amount paid in excess of the required deposit, except for cancellations within 24 hrs.

3.- If you come on a cruise ship and the cruise ship does not dock in Huatulco, it will be considered a last-minute cancellation by the customer. As a small business we cannot take the risk or accept the responsibility of a cruise ship not docking here.

Cancellation(s) by the customer - Packages with Accommodation

3.- If the customer cancels a reservation 31 days or more in advance, we will refund the deposit paid, except for a $500 Pesos ($50 USD) administration fee and any costs charged by third parties, if applicable.

4.- If the customer cancels a reservation within 15 to 30 days in advance, we will charge 50% of the total package price and refund the rest of the deposit paid.

5.- If the customer cancels a reservation less than 15 days in advance, we will not refund the deposit paid.

Notes:

In case of cancellation by the customer of any service(s) booked for the Christmas and Easter Holidays we reserve the right to deny any refund(s).

In case of a cancellation by the customer and Hurricane Divers provides a refund, any costs that occur because of the refund (transfer fees, commisions, etc.) will be charged to the customer. 

Cancellation(s) by Hurricane Divers

6.- If Hurricane Divers cancels a reservation for reasons within our control, we will refund 100% of the deposit paid.

7.- If Hurricane Divers cancels a reservation for reasons not within our control (weather, sea monsters, etc.), we will refund 50% of the deposit paid.

8.- Hurricane Divers reserves the right to cancel any and all services, scheduled or otherwise, at any time, for reasons of safety. If the reason for cancellation is caused by the customer(s) (e.g. customer arrives intoxicated or endangers other divers), no refund(s) will be provided.

Notes:

Deposits not refunded may be credited in part or completely to future reservations at the discretion of Hurricane Divers.

Any loss for Hurricane Divers caused by customer initiated schedule changes may be charged to customer at the discretion of Hurricane Divers.

Payment 

All our services are to be paid in advance.

To make a reservations you need to pay a deposit in our dive center or into our account, either by sending a check or by credit card (see reservations).

In the dive center in Santa Cruz we accept US Dollars, Mexican Pesos, Mastercard and VISA. In the dive center in Tangolunda we are unable to accept credit and debit cards at this point. We do not accept Travellers Checks!

Our prices are in US Dollars. Payments in Mexican Pesos (including credit and debit cards) are subject to an exchange rate of 15 Pesos to the USD*.

Any discounts, special offers, early booking bonus, etc., do not apply if you pay by credit card or debit card. You can pay the deposit by credit card without losing the discount.

  • Our payment policies are subject to change without prior notice.

  • We will adjust the exchange rate if significant changes occur on the money market.
